My birthday!

A quiet day. I took it off from work because it is a sad and lonely thing to work on your birthday.

Slept late, then got up and breakfasted and coffeed. Skyped to the FWiB, for a nice long time.

After that I showered and dressed, and went down to Rite Aid for my prescriptions. Then I came home and had lunch, the leftover spinach ravioli from Sunday.

Then I went shopping for the birthday party this Saturday, for Denise, Brianne and Middle Brother. Went to the mall in Flushing, to Target. Stopped for bubble tea on the way. Got gift cards for Denise and Brianne, and a dvd, shirt, and book of Dr. Seuss stickers for Middle Brother, plus cards for them all. I also got myself a present, a dvd of Labyrinth. The shirt for Middle Brother actually came from Old Navy, where I was persuaded to sign up for another credit card, an Old Navy Visa. Not sure that was a good idea, but I can keep it for emergencies.

Then went straight to my meeting rather than home again. It was a very good meeting, and M. brought me cupcakes for my birthday! And they sang Happy Borthday.

After that, mashfanficchick and her mother picked me up, and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for a late dinner.

And then they brought me home. I am happy to say the turtle absolutely gobbled down her dinner.

And now my birthday is over.

Birthday plus one

Work was tiring today, did the Teen Lounge, the kids came within a hairs breadth of being obnoxious enough it would be worth going to the effort to throw them out, but just didn't quite reach that point.

During my break I made an appointment to get my taxes done, April 5th, at my usual place.

After work I Skyped the FWiB from my phone while I went to 20th avenue to meet mashfanficchick and her mother. We went to Target, then to Carvel. Carvel has a great new soft serve flavor, Cold Brewed Coffee. It's delicious with hot fudge. The Kid called, we had a brief talk, she had to have some work done on her car.

After Carvel we called in an order to a sushi place, then picked it up and went to mashfanficchick's place and ate, cause nothing says "Day after your birthday celebration" like raw fish on rice. Then we watched two episodes of Hawaii 5-0. It is a lot of fun.

Came home and that's about it.
