This is a new one
Jun. 8th, 2019 10:25 pmWhen my alarm went off this morning, I turned it off instead of hitting snooze, with the predictable result that I was 40 minutes late to work. I have no idea why I turned off the alarm, I never do that until I've snoozed several times and I'm standing up. Partly because I had a bad night last night, after the long nap I took in the afternoon.
Aside from that though the day went all right. It was very quiet. I texted
mashfanficchick, she went to a ball game today, don't know if we'll be doing anything tomorrow.
Continued with the argument on the ship about the use of the "c" word. I think I'll dropout though. People are so obtuse sometimes.
After work I got the bus really quickly, and was able to go to the corner store after I got home to get some orange juice and some fruit punch. Got home just in time to Skype the FWiB after his dinner. I am worried about his cough.
After we talked I made myself a rum punch with the fruit punch I got and the spiced rum from Christmas. It was pretty good.
And that's pretty much the day.
Yesterday I forgot to say anything about the 75th anniversary of D-day. Of course my father had already been through all his fighting in North Africa and Italy and was wounded and sent home before D-day even happened, but I want to remember it.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The young men of D-day who died to set the world free.
3. The ship.
4. Chocolate from Godiva.
5. Bed soon.
6. Rum punch.
