Well I did it
Jul. 31st, 2019 10:17 pmI took the computer in and had the guy work on it. He ended up reinstalling Windows, but he backed up (most) of my stuff first so I still have my photos and downloads and my writing. I had to reinstall Norton, and Skype, and I have to reinstall After Dark games, though it's sad but true I hardly ever play them any more. He also added RAM.
I am happy with how the computer turned out but I think he ripped me off on the price. Still, it was better than a new computer. So this one should last me a few more years, knock wood.
Anyway, aside from that the day was so-so. I was late to work, the FWiB was gone for most of the day, and there was no Carvel trip.
However I did Skype the FWiB, from my phone and then from the computer once I reinstalled Norton and Skype. And he is getting a phone number one way or another tomorrow. So that's good.
Also it stormed badly. Bah humbug.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Fixed computer.
3. Flowers.
4. Air conditioning.
5. Friends.
6. The ease with which I reinstalled Norton.
