Dinner with the Kid

I was late to work this morning, and I managed to fall out of bed getting up, so I was stiff and achy all day. But aside from that all went ok at work.

After work I had arranged to meet the Kid in Manhattan for business reasons, and have dinner. So I headed in to Manhattan. Skyped the FWiB on the way, until the train went underground. He now has wifi in his bedroom, which is a step forward. Also, I didn't mention this before, but he had a bit of a medical scare, which has turned out to not be serious, so that is a big relief.

Met up with the Kid and took care of what we needed to do, and then went to dinner at a place called the Pig and Whistle. Very tasty, and we had a nice conversation.

Then came home and mashfanficchick came over to show me how to post something on her facebook account because she's having surgery tomorrow and she wants me to post updates as her mother gets them to me. So it was nice seeing her before that happens, too.

Tomorrow is the first day of school in these parts. The kids will be in after school, bouncing off the walls. *shudder*
