Middle Brother's birthday party on Pi Day
Mar. 14th, 2020 10:45 pmGot up this morning and breakfasted and coffeed. Then I Skyped the FWiB, and had a nice talk. Then I showered and dressed.
Oldest Brother got here with Middle Brother for his birthday. Our original plan had been to take him to Applebee's for lunch and then back here for ice cream cake and presents, but the Kid was quite panicked by that plan and convinced us it wasn't a good idea, so we had the whole thing here. It just worked out nicely that it was Pi Day and we ordered pizza. We had been afraid that Middle Brother's group home might have been on a lockdown because of the virus, but it wasn't; Oldest Brother did however have to fill out some form before taking him out, which he never had to do before.
Anyway, we ordered a pizza with sausage and mushrooms, and listened to music while we were waiting. I was hoping that the pizza place might have had a special for Pi Day, but they didn't. Oh well, still not very expensive compared to Applebee's.

mashfanficchick called and said they were on there way over, so we held off on the cake til they got here. They managed to find a parking place, so her mother came in too, and we had the cake and he opened his presents, and that was pretty much the party part.
mashfanficchick and her mother left togo shopping, borrowing my BJ's card. I played the two High Kings cds that Middle Brother got from me and Oldest Brother for him while Oldest Brother napped. (He had only gotten two hours of sleep) Then I played the dvd of the High Kings that I couldn't give him because I ordered it without noticing it's region 2 and he can't play it on his dvd player. But I can on the computer.
Just as that finished and they were getting ready to go, the Kid called, so she got to say happy birthday, and talk to both her uncles.
I saw them out, and then went to the discount store for milk. On my way back the Kid called again, and we had a nice talk about more personal stuff she couldn't talk about in front of her uncles.
And after that I settled in and just read til cat feeding time.
So Middle brother had a good time and nno one was exposed to covid 19.
