Day 23: Oldest Brother again, and Meetings
Apr. 7th, 2020 10:15 pmI was wrong in my guess, they didn't keep Oldest Brother at the hospital, they tested him for covid, gave him a chest x-ray, stuff like that, and then they sent him home to a 14 day quarantine.
I've called him several times today and he sounds like hell. John and Denise saw him, when they brought him supplies, and they said he looks awful. It took him an hour to get four bags of groceries upstairs to his room, resting in between them.
Aside from that, I had two work meetings today. The first one was supposed to be on jitsi, but the app didn't work right and it was a disaster, so they cancelled that and set up a google hangouts meeting. As a result it ran over by 15 minutes, but I had enough time to get to the branch staff meeting anyway.
Then I Skyped the FWiB, but we only talked a short time because he was facetiming another friend.
I did see the Thurber reading at 8:00, which I missed yesterday. It was one of my favorites, More Alarms in the Night. And one I didn't know, Mr. Preeble Gets Rid of his Wife.
I've been trying to put in a Shipt order but having problems. Most of the time there's no delivery slots available, just now there was a spot available but I couldn't place the order. So I don't know what's going on.
Talked to the Kid and texted her a couple of times today, mostly about Oldest Brother. She posted on facebook today abut him, and Sue facebook messaged me for his phone number.
Sybil was out on the kitchen cabinets again today. So again I had to shut Oreo up in the bedroom because I am NOT having them get into a fight on top of the cabinets!!
