Day 65: Pretty, Shiny!
May. 19th, 2020 11:11 pmGot up this morning in time for a genre training for work, on graphic novels. Had breakfast and coffee first, of course. The training ran an hour and 40 minutes, a bit longer than it was supposed to. It was pretty interesting.
Then I puttered around until 1:00 when I had a webinar on The Future We Create, though really it wasn't much about that, it was mostly about how libraries are more alike than different as shown by this survey the speaker had done. It was actually fairly interesting but not what I was expecting.
Then I went and read and then Skyped the FWiB. Had a nice time.
After that more reading til Thurber. I'm now on the third book in the Broken Realms series, Stormcaster.
The Thurber reading was good as always but he didn't pick up the story he got interupted during yesterday, which was disappointing.
After that, dinner, and then started reading again. But the Kid called and we had a long conversation looking at pretty rhinestone broaches. I saw one I really liked, and since she was getting something from the same site, and they have free shipping for orders over $35, I asked her to pick mine up with hers. It's an adorable Halloween broach, a black cat and a pumpkin, all done in rhinestones.
Then I called Oldest Brother and we talked and that's all.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Pretty shiny broach.
3. Zelle.
4. Good books.
5. The Kid.
6. Pepperjack cheese.
