Day 96: Juneteenth
Jun. 19th, 2020 10:33 pmI will admit that though I had heard of Juneteenth before this year, it had not really impinged on my consciousness. However this year I will wish everyone inclined to celebrate a Happy Juneteenth!
I got a text message from my Shipt shopper at 7:22 wanting to know how early was too early for my delivery. I said not before 10:30 and went back to sleep. At 10:00 I got a phone call from my therapist (which weirdly enough did not ring, but only gave a small ping noise. I heard it, looked at the phone to see what was going on, saw I had a call coming in, and answered it) and we talked.
Then I lounged in bed dozing for a long time. Finally I got up, showered, got dressed, and went out. I took out a bag of recycling, mailed my absentee ballot for the primary, got milk, and got breakfast from the bagel place. My usual, a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll.
Came back in, and ate. At 2:00 I had the Youth Tech afternoon coffee, and also my Shipt order was delivered, so I missed a few minutes of it. I managed to stuff everything in my freezer, including the bag of ice left over from when Oldest Brother was here. I did have to ditch a very old bag of frozen vegetables though.
After the Youth Tech thing I Skyped the FWiB. We had a pretty good talk, had some connection difficulties at one point, but nothing serious.
I read after that. I'm reading the third in the InCryptid books, I'm not in love with them but they are fun.
Then at 6:00 I had dinner, and then my meeting by Zoom at 7:00. That went very well, and L and I had another meeting after. Turns out with a free account, after they cut you off after 40 minutes, you can log back in again and have a second meeting. There's a tip for you!
After that I called Middle Brother cause I forgot to call him yesterday. He is doing fine and having a good time.
By then it was far to late for the Thurber reading so I went and continued the InCryptid book until Oldest Brother called. Family news, Aunt Helen was in the hospital due to her sodium levels, but is OK and home now.
And that's my day.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Aunt Helen is OK.
3. My meetings and the people in them.
4. Fun books.
5. Mailed my ballot.
6. My therapist.
