Princess Bride reading
Sep. 13th, 2020 11:45 pmWoke up around 8:30, went to the bathroom and turned on the turtle's light, then went back to bed. Woke up again around 10:30, started to get up, didn't, and dozed until about 12. Then I got up for real.
Didn't do much but putter on line for most of the day. I gave the turtle some kale, which she loved, and that's about it.
Skyped the FWiB, got interrupted by his wife calling him, got on again but had to get off fairly quickly cause they were meeting up. After they finished we got on again, and we talked a nice long time.
Got off with a little less than a half hour to spare before the Princess Bride reunion script reading. For those who don't know, if was a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Democratic party, if you donated you got access to the event. The event was a read through of the script of the movie by all the surviving cast reprising their roles, and special guest stars filling in for the ones no longer with us. It was a lot of fun. The Kid called me right during the most action-packed part though, and I missed a good bit.
After it was over and they had the Q&A session, I fed the pets, and called Oldest Brother. He's not so good, he had a fall today, and I'm a little worried about how he sounded, but he said he thinks everything's OK, just pulled muscles and such, so what can I do?
Then I called the Kid back. She had cheered up which is a good thing. We talked for awhile, then got off, and I finally had dinner. I had some ice cream for dessert, and next I'm going to go to bed and read.
