More on Oldest Brother

The MRI showed small clots in his brain, so it seems he had a mini-stroke. next step is something called a bubble test to find where exactly they are, and some test on his heart to see if it's cause by a cardio-vascular problem. After everything they think a rehabilitation place for awhile. I don't know what's going to happen about him needing to move, I'm going to call the building manager and talk to him tomorrow. At some point he's supposed to talk to the social worker in the hospital.

But the big thing is, I've talked to him! He has the phone set up in his room and i called and he answered. I had him stick to one word answers to me, but he seems to understand what is going on and what I say. It was so good to hear his voice!

I called his two security companies and the Boy called the radio station on Saturday, so all his work has been informed of his situation.

I also called everyone to pass on the news, John, The Kid, mashfanficchick, and John Ivon.

I took today off from work, on the advice of mashfanficchick, and she was right, I was too busy making phone calls and stuff to have gone to work. I have to go back tomorrow though, I can't afford to take too much time. It's a pity FMLA doesn't cover siblings, I could have used that.

Aside from all this, I Skyped the FWiB of course, he's been a good support to me in all this.

And just to make everything f-ing perfect, my e-mail is down.

The Kid thinks there's grounds for a lawsuit in the ambulance driver not taking him to the hospital, so that John had to. So at some point I have to call a lawyer who's been recommended and see about that.
