Procedure completed.
May. 21st, 2021 10:22 pmI got the markers for the surgery inserted today. It was less traumatic than I expected.

mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up at 9 and we went out to Syosset. I actually had two procedures, one with the aid of mammography, to insert the marker in the right breast where I'm having the surgical biopsy, and one in the left breast where the tumor is, with the aid of a sonogram. It was a bit painful, but less so than the biopsies were. They also gave me a packet of pictures for the surgeon, which I must NOT forget to bring with me to the surgery.
After that we drove to Lake Success and ate lunch at Wild Fig. Delicious. Then we went for my Covid test, which was as unpleasant as they all are. I'll get the results of that in 24 to 48 hours, though since I've been fully vaccinated there's no reason it should be anything other than negative.
Then they brought me home and I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice long talk, and then I went to the bedroom, and was just starting to doze when the phone rang. It was Northwell Health, to go over the preop prep stuff, not eating or drinking after midnight before the operation, etc.
She also told me the time i have to be there, which I thought I wasn't going to learn till Sunday. I have to be there at 12:30, and the operation is at 2:00. I should be ready to leave by between 5:00 and %;30. The Kid is having me stay at her place, so she can keep an eye on me, and I'll spend the night there.
Anyway, after the phone call I fiddled around playing solitaire, and finally I got up and did something I should have done awhile ago, paid the first premium on my new life insurance. I also filled out the beneficiary information form and got it ready to mail.
Then I puttered online until it was time for my meeting. We only had one rather than two. So after the meeting I walked down to the Rite Aid to pick up my prescriptions. But they didn't have them ready! I KNOW I got phone calls saying they were ready and would be held till the 22nd. Well, I already have a month worth so I don't actually need anther month's work, but still, it's odd.
Anyway, I came back, after buying a birthday card for the Kid to give her Monday, and then had some cheese and crackers. At 9:00 I called Oldest Brother for the fourth time today. I didn't call the Kid again,I already called her three times.
And then I played solitaire again till it was time to feed the pets.
The coffee table I ordered is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. The package from Northwell Health got here, it was the medical reports on the biopsies and MRI. I don't know why they sent it all to me, I'll bring it to the surgery just in case.
