Good news!
Jun. 8th, 2021 10:11 pmSo I had my doctor's appointments today. The Kid picked me up and got me there almost on time. I waited a VERY long time to get seen, but eventually I saw the surgeon.
And the news is good, for the most part. The tumor is out, completely. There are clean margins. It is small, slow growing, and stage one. The only other thing is the right side, where I had the surgical biopsy, they did find some abnormal cells, so they may have to do something about that. I don't know yet. The surgeon took the steri strips off, too, and for the first time I can see the incisions. Ick. I go back to see her in a month.
By the time I was done with her it was almost time for the oncologist appointment. So I filled out the paperwork and just waited. The oncologist is a woman too, which is nice. They took a blood test, and she went over my history and etc, and explained some stuff, and told me she was sending the tumor out for more lab work, and I come back in two weeks.
The Kid had gone home after dropping me off, and when I called her to come pick me up, it turned out that die to traffic, it would take about as long to get me as it would for me to go home on the bus. So that's what I did. It was better than waiting outside with a severe thunder storm warning. The thunder storm showed up on the way home, and I had to walk from the bus stop to my building in it, but it wasn't too bad.
I got home and called Oldest Brother, and ordered dinner through Seamless, and texted the kid to let her know I was home. Then I Skyped the FWiB, and we talked till my dinner arrived. Middle Brother called me while I was talking to the FWiB. I was right, the phone had been out of order, but it's working now. So we talked.
Then at 8:00 I had my meeting. It was good, though C didn't show up, although I sent her an invitation.
After that I went to the bedroom and called Oldest Brother again. Then I called the Kid to find out how she liked the books I gave her for her birthday. She did.
I called
mashfanficchick to see how ze was and give zer my results, and we talked a bit.
Then I played solitaire and puttered on my phone till it was time to feed the pets. And here I am. I'm still working on reading The Angel of the Crows.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Clean margins!
3. The kid.
4. My medical plan.
5. Good books.
6. My AC.
