A good day

Went to my meeting in person at Bowne Park today. Started out getting a cup of coffee and a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll at the bagel shop first. Ate while I was waiting for the 16 bus to the park.

The meeting was very good. Afterward some of us went out to lunch at the bayside diner. I got a ride there with one person and a ride home with another.

Came home and puttered on-line and put in a Shipt order. The Starsky and Hutch Zoom chat and episode watch was postponed till tomorrow so I will miss it I'm afraid. At 5:00 I called Oldest Brother again and then Skyped the FWiB. While we were talking the Shipt order was delivered so I put that away.

I charged my Nook, and read the rest of Beyond. It's OK, not great, but fun reading. And I liked her dedication, which I gather has garnered some controversy. She dedicated it to people lost to Covid, and the health care workers and others who kept working through the epidemic. And a whole paragraph of venom directed to the politicians and those who politicized it, resulting in the deaths of so many.

Anyway, I started playing solitaire, and then finally went on to reading The Witness For the Dead, which is the sequel to The Goblin Emperor. Or at least set in the same world.

Finally I called mashfanficchick and left her a message, Then I called Oldest Brother again, and after him, I called the Kid. The Kid was at a party so we didn't talk long.

mashfanficchick called back and said yes, we were going to pride Fest tomorrow, and she'd call me back at 10. So I went on reading, and then fed the pets, and at a little after 10 she called me back and we made plans for meeting tomorrow.

And that was my day.
