Happy Christmas Eve!
Dec. 24th, 2021 11:34 pmGot up and showered, breakfasted and went out to get Middle Brother. I took the bus to Jamaica and then the train to Hicksville from there, and it wasn't bad at all. We came back the same way, and took our Covid tests. We were both negative, so on with the festivities.
I put Christmas music on for Middle brother, and did some more cleaning in the apartment, in the kitchen this time. Then we listened to Christmas music together until![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
mashfanficchick and zer mother came over at 6. Also I put the food on to cook at 6. The Kid said she didn't want to have pasta with us so she was going to come later. As it turns out she came much later... but it all ended well.
I Skyped Oldest brother and he was able to take part in our ritual present-opening, picking presents one-by-one from oldest to youngest, and everyone watching as each is opened. We put a TV yule log on, and that was nice.
Everyone had a good time. I will take Oldest Brother's presents to him on Boxing Day.
After the presents we sat around talking about stuff, and making plans for tomorrow. It looks as thoughmashfanficchick and zer mother will be joining us after all, so that's nice, though not so nice why. A friend of zer's tested positive so they can't get together tomorrow.
Anyway, I'm writing this as Middle Brother is trying to sleep on the air matress on the living roomfloor, so I need to hurry.
