Boxing Day

Or St. Stephen's Day, either one. Not generally celebrated in this country but whatever.

I was going to go to Oldest Brother's place and take his Christmas presents but he was worried about Covid, and so was I a little. So I'm going to go at a later date. I puttered around the house for a little while, and then decided to take the phone I got from the Kid down to the T-Mobile store in Flushing and get it set up. But first, in case I lost the data, I wrote out my contact list, and the Samsung notes.

Turns out I needn't have worried. They shifted over the data entirely, everything. So I didn't even lose my progress in my solitaire games. So that made me happy. I have all the messages, all the notes, all the e-mails.

Anyway, I called [personal profile] mashfanficchick to test the phone and to see if we could get together today to watch Lonestar. That didn't work out, alas, but maybe tomorrow. Then I came home and called the Kid and told her.

Then I Skyped the FWiB, using the phone to test it out for Skype. It works beautifully. Eventually we shifted over to the computer though because it was using more power than it was getting from the charger which I had plugged into the computer.

So we Skyped for a nice time and then got off and I puttered around until it was time for dinner.

Had dinner then called Middle brother. He's fine.

Played solitaire until it was time to call Oldest Brother for the third time, which I did, and then called the kid again to update her on how I was getting along with the phone.

Explored it some more until it was time to feed the pets, and that's where I am now.

Gratitude list:

1. The FWiB.

2. The kid.

3. New phone.

4. My data was saved.

5. Nice day out.

6. My brothers are both well.
