Cookies!

Started out the day by pushing the snooze alarm once too many times, but making it to work on time anyway! Yay!

I went to the pizza place for lunch again, and again got the chicken marsala pizza. I love that stuff.

The YA Programing chat was fun today, tours of various YA spaces around the system. Then I had my virtual book discussion but nobody showed up despite there being two people registered. sigh.

After work I went to mashfanficchick's place to help zer unpack and divvy up the Girl Scout cookies that she ordered from Troop 6000 for us all. (Troop 6000 is the special troop for girls in the NYC shelter system.)

We had sushi for dinner first, and then we did the cookies. I have six boxes, two of Thin Mints, two of Samoas, and two of the new ones, Adventurefuls. We sat around talking for awhile, then then brought me home.

I called Oldest Brother and Middle Brother while I was there, and the Kid called me. Everyone is OK.

Came home and called the Kid again, and then Skyped the FWiB for awhile.

Worrying thing of the day, my keyfob did not work to open the building door. I had to rely on the trick of buzzing a bunch of doors till someone buzzed me in. I hate doing that. But we have a new super and I have neglected to put his number in my phone, so I had no one to call for help. Have to get the number tomorrow, it's posted in the lobby.

Free Day

Slept late and then breakfasted and had coffee. Called mashfanficchick and we made plans for the day, to lunch and then deliver Girl Scout cookies to the kid.

So that's what we did. they picked me up and we went to the strip mall near me, where I got Taco Bell. Then we drove out to the Kid to bring her two boxes of Thin Mints. The traffic was very bad, we didn't have time for much of a visit but she showed me some stuff she bought to ask my opinion.

Then they brought me back to the bus stop where I caught the bus to the Bronx for my meeting. I wasn't hungry after the Taco Bell so I just got a hot chocolate from Dunkin' Donuts and drank that while I waited for my meeting. The meeting went very well.

Afterward I came back home. My keyfob is still not working, and other people's are, so it's that, not the door. I called the Super and he said he'd be there in 20 minutes, but someone let me in before that so I called back and told him. He said he'd try to get it activated tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Called Oldest brother for the third time and then Skyped the FWiB for awhile. Going to call the Kid after I finish here.
