Not a great day
Mar. 4th, 2022 10:19 pmStarted with the virtual staff meeting, which was OK. Sort of pointless, but OK. Then I took a shower and got dressed, and at a bit before 1, john picked me up and we went to the DMV.
I should say we had found out through
mashfanficchick that we needed an appointment to get in. She made an appointment for me, and that was OK, but they wouldn't let John come in with me. So I had to do everything myself, which was very anxiety provoking.
And I was not successful. They would not register the car without a title, and they didn't accept my Power of Attorney. However I did find out that the new title was issued March 1st so it should be in the mail. The only question is, is it going to my address or to Oldest Brother's old address? When I got home I called DMV in Albany, and the person I spoke to said that it should go to the address on the application, which is my address, so I hope she's right.
Anyway it was all very stressful and not pleasant. One good thing, however, John brought over the little antique child's Lincoln rocker that Aunt Helen asked for when Mom died, and which none of the others wanted when Aunt Helen died, so I have it again.
So after the DMV visit, and making the phone calls, I ended up taking a short nap, and then going into the Bronx for my Al-anon meeting. I had pizza for dinner first, as I frequently do.
The meeting was very good, and that was the best part of the day.
Came home and called oldest Brother for the third time, then Skyped the FWiB. The Kid called briefly, I will call her back after I'm in bed.
And now I've fed the pets, and here I am.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The title is processed.
3. My meetings and the people there.
4. The fire in the Ukraine nuclear power plant is out.
5. Can go into work 45 minutes late tomorrow because of the staff meeting today.
