I started the day by going to visit Oldest Brother. It's been far too long. So I got up, breakfasted, showered and dressed. While i was getting dressed the Kid texted. She is included in this student loan forgiveness, so that's a good thing.

Then I headed over. Had to take a covid test to be admitted, but that's a good thing really. It was negative of course.

I visited for about two hours. He is better in person then on the phone for some reason. We had a very good time. I brought his tablet home with me because it wasn't turning on. Turns out the charger isn't working. Luckily it uses the same kind as my phone, USB-to-C. So I was able to charge it with my phone charger and that's how I knew what was the problem.

The FWiB was at an oncologist's appointment, but when he got back we Skyped. He is still in remission, thank God.

At a bit before 7 I ate dinner, and then headed out to Merrick, where I never thought I would be going again. But Barry K, who I knew from high school, invited me to a private showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. So I decided to go despite the practical difficulties.

I took the 44 bus to Main Street, where we were told last stop, everyone out. That was annoying, but the next 44 came pretty quickly and i got to Jamaica well in time to get the 8:33 train to Merrick. I called Middle Brother from the train, he is fine. Been swimming. I called Oldest Brother for the fourth time today and filled him in.

The theater is right next to the train station so that was no problem. Barry looks pretty good. We are going to have dinner some night in the city, so... who knows? The Rocky Horror Picture Show was wonderful as always.

At around 11:30 it was over, and i went back to the train station, and was lucky enough that the next train to Penn Station was in 10 minutes. I wasn't going through Jamaica at that time of night! I expected to take the E from Penn to Roosevelt Ave and the 7 from there, but when I got to Penn I found that the E wasn't stopping in Penn on late nights and weekends.

I had to take the A to W. 4th street, and get an F from there to Bryant Park where I got the 7. Took the 7 to Flushing and was lucky enough to get a 44 bus almost immediately. So I got here a little after 2, and now I'm more than ready for bed!

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. Oldest Brother.

3. The Kid's loans forgiven.

4. Old friends.

5. The LIRR.

6. Bed soon.

So I slept late after being up till 3:00 this morning. Then I had breakfast and coffee, printed out a bunch of my fanfic for Oldest Brother since he didn't get a chance to read it, and then took a shower and got dressed.

The FWiB was getting a haircut, when he got back and I was dressed, we Skyped. Talked a nice long time.

Then I got my laundry together and took it to the laundromat and dropped it off. Then there was just enough time to lie down for a half hour and call Oldest Brother for the second time before I left for my Al-anon meeting.

The bus didn't come when it should have, so I was running late, but I managed to fit in dinner at Boston Market first, and get to the meeting on time. The meeting was very good, we had both the 7 and 8 meetings.

I made the bus home nicely, and found google had created a photo book for me with my pictures from the vacation. So I did something unusual for me and ordered one. I had to cancel it twice because they had the wrong address, but when I got home I straightened that out on the computer and ordered one for keeps.

Then I called oldest brother for the third time, and fed the pets, and called the Kid but she didn't pick up, I believe she's with Vincent.

So now I'm doing this, and going to go to bed and read for a little bit.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. My meetings and the people there.

3. Clean laundry coming.

4. Vacation not quite over.

5. My phone.

6. Paid my rent.
