Work was OK< except I had trouble getting up a and ended up being a half an hour late. Still it's the first time in quite awhile I was that late so it's getting better.
The day was pretty quiet. I weeded a shelf of non-fiction, and discarded the graphic non-fiction that didn't find new homes.
Was hoping to go out with
mashfanficchick and zer mother to Carvel after work but it didn't work out. So I just came straight home, and ate dinner, called Oldest Brother for the second time, and Skyped the FWiB. The FWiB has Covid, he tested positive today, though he has minimal symptoms, but bad enough that he tested and found out. I guess it's a good thing that my hopes to visit him next week fell through, because I couldn't have gone now since he'll be in quarantine. Oh well.
Then I joined in the D&D game by Zoom. Today we got kicked out of a city, rescued some halflings by killing orcs, and made contact with the thieves guild in another city. Then one of our members made extra money by arm wrestling and betting on it. Fun times!
Christie the Turtle seems to enjoy the new light bulb in her tank but she is just not eating well. I think I am taking her to the vet next week.
Bed soon, I was going to read a little but I forgot to charge the Nook, so I'll probably just go straight to bed.
The boss said she can't approve a day of my annual leave for next year, October 16, which is the day after SHarecon is hopefully going to be. This is unfair and incorrect for several reasons, and I could make a big stink about it, even go so far as to complain to the union, but I won't, also for several reasons. Instead if I end up needing the day, I'll just take one of the two new Wellness days that they have given us. Problem solved. And if SHarecon is virtual again, I won't even need the day.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. My D&D game.
3. Quiet day.
4. Bed soon.
5. Cheese and crackers snack.
6. Starsky and Hutch fandom.
