Doctor's appointment

Today was the day I had my first appointment with the oncologist at the new location. So I got up later than I should but still with enough time to have breakfast, including one of my two honey crisp apples, shower, dress, and Skype the FWiB for a brief time.

Then mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up at 1:30 and we went to IKEA for lunch and some shopping, since IKEA is near the new location of the oncology office. Lunch was potato salad with salmon on the side, and a side order of Swedish meatballs. Delicious.

Then they took me to the address of the new office... and I had awful trouble finding it in the very large building. Turned out it's part of Advantage Care Physicians which I didn't realize. But eventually we found it, and after I filled out a ream of paperwork, I got called in for my blood work and port flush.

All is well. And I go back in six weeks, and again two weeks after that, once for the next port flush and once to see the doctor. Don't know why two different days, I suspect something got confused, but, it doesn't cost me anything except lunch for mashfanficchick's mother, thanks to my very good insurance, so whatever.

Anyway, after that we went to H-Mart and did some shopping, and then they brought me home with a brief stop at Stop and Shop and I had just enough time to Skype the FWiB again briefly, and then have my meeting.

The meeting was small but good, and after that I had dinner, and then called Oldest Brother for the third time, and the Kid. The Kid didn't answer but called later.

So all is well and I am ready for my second doctor's appointment tomorrow.
