Busy day

I got up earlier than I needed to because I was determined not to be late. Instead I was an hour early into Manhattan. Both my meetings were in the same building, the famous one with the lions.

At 9 I had the last meeting of the School Outreach seminar. I did my book talk for So This Is Ever After. And we played Library Jeopardy. They provided breakfast which was pretty good. We each got a certificate and a mug.

Then at 12 I went down the hall to the Teen Reading Ambassador meeting. I met the other two mentors in my group, and the three kids we are mentoring. Very nice kids. We had lunch, sandwiches from Panera. And we accomplished a good amount of work in the time we had.

After that I took the F train directly from Bryant Park, and went to mashfanficchick's place, topping to buy some basil at Key Food on the way. Ze made pho for dinner, which was delicious, and we ate, and then watched Lonestar.

I called Middle Brother. He went to a movie on Tuesday. I asked him what he wants for his birthday, and he said bagpipe music and a book, New York From the Air. So I ordered that from Amazon. Now to make plans for his birthday! I also called Oldest Brother, but I never got around to calling the Kid, which I feel guilty about, but we texted.

After Lonestar we watched an episode of Diagnosis: Murder, a show I never watched when it was on. It was cute, I don't know if I'd ever get hooked on it, but I'd watch more episodes.

Then they brought me home. My turtle food has been delivered.

Now it's time for bed.

Relaxing day

Slept late, got up in time to have breakfast and coffee and then a call with my therapist at 1.

Then I puttered on line for a bit, then read until the FWiB was unoccupied and we Skyped until it was time for me to throw on some clothing and go to my meeting.

The bus was late so instead of having time to go to Boston Market for dinner I got two slices of pizza to go and ate in the meeting. It was small but good. We cancelled the second meeting though and I came home. Got a ride to the bus stop which was nice.

Came home and called Oldest Brother for the third time, then called the Kid. Read some more, and played solitaire, now time for bed.
