The turtle laid more eggs

I was on time today, just barely made the bus because it was late. The day was OK. I went to the YA chat, which was useful and fun. I had virtual trivia scheduled, but no one came though there were two people registered.

Came home and called Oldest Brother for the second time, then Skyped the FWiB.

Then I called Middle Brother, who is fine, and then had dinner. I called Oldest Brother again, and then I called the Kid but she didn't pick up.

The turtle laid more eggs. She hadn't been eating again, so I suspected she was gravid, and I was right. Now she is eating normally. I don't think there's any way to keep her from getting gravid, but I'm sure this constant loss of calcium can't be good for her. I'm hoping that maybe now that she's laid three clutches in quick succession she'll take longer for the next one. (For newcomers to my flist, the turtle is alone in her tank, no male, so the eggs are obviously infertile)

I saw rats in the courtyard outside my kitchen window tonight, including one huge one. I hope the presence of Oreo is enough to keep them out of my apartment!

Tomorrow we have a staff meeting in the morning.
