The plumber was here
Jun. 2nd, 2023 09:49 pmThough not till after 2, almost 2:30. On the other hand, it only took him about 15 minutes to fix the problem.
I woke up at 9 and called in to work that I couldn't come in, then dozed for an hour. Got up at 10, had breakfast and coffee, showered and dressed and was ready by 11 in case the plumber showed up then. So I waited. And waited. And waited. At 12:40 the super texted they were on the way. So I waited, and waited. an hour later I texted him and asked what was going on. He texted back that they would be here shortly. So I waited. Finally like I said, around 2:20 they got here, took about 15 minutes to fix the problem and that was that.
Theoretically I could have gone to work at that point but it would have meant getting changed, and by that time and the travel I didn't think it was worth the effort. During the day I had put in for a refill of one of my meds, and got the message that it was ready, so I walked to the drugstore and got it. (I also rescheduled my September visit to my doctor, and called
mashfanficchick to tell zer the new date. Ze has another cold, sadly.)
Came home and Skyped the FWiB. By the time we were done there was abut half an hour till I left for my Al-anon meeting so I puttered around and then went in to the Bronx.
I decided on the spur of the moment to eat at the Crosstown Diner instead of Boston Market for a change, so that's what I did, calling Oldest Brother from there for the second time. Then I walked t the bank and took out some money and from there to the church. It looked like it was going to pour, and there was thunder and lightening in the distance, but it didn't actually rain.
The meeting was good but small, and afterward I came home, and that's really all. Called Oldest Brother for the third time, called the Kid who didn't pick up as usual.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The plumber fixed the leak without needing to tear down my wall.
3. My meetings and the people there.
4. Didn't get rained on.
5. Was able to take the day off.
6. Payday.
