Port Flush
Aug. 1st, 2023 09:53 pmSlept till 10 today. Called Oldest Brother, he is still sick. I am really angry. I called the nursing home and they said they would have him seen by the doctor. Spoiler alert... he wasn't, but I didn't find that out till later.
I called the nursing home again to set up the patient care meeting that I got the notice of yesterday. It's going to be Friday by phone. I will be sure to talk about the situation that's going on now.
Anyway, I had breakfast, showered and dressed. I Facebook messaged various relatives to let them know I was coming up to the cottage, and also Carrie M to ask if I could piggyback on their WiFi again this year. She said yes so I will bring my laptop with me and hopefully have internet access to Zoom and Skype.
I had text conversations with Laurie, and with the Kid. Laurie called Oldest Brother, which he liked, and the Kid is mailing him a letter.

mashfanficchick and zer mother, and we went to my port flush. That was quick and painless.
After that we went to On the Border for lunch/dinner, and I called Oldest Brother again, which is when I found out he hadn't been seen by the doctor. The less said the better.
The food was very good, and then the Kid texted me, and while we were texting she told me Trump had just been indicted on the January 6 investigation. Yay!
After we ate we listened to MSN on the car radio while they drove me first to the drugstore to once again pick up a prescription, and then home. I got home with enough time to Skype the FWiB for about a half hour till my Al-anon meeting,
The meeting was small, just me and M, but good. After it was over, I called Oldest Brother again, and then spent a fruitless time trying to get through to someone to complain to. Very frustrating.
I gave up, and Skyped the FWiB again for another half hour. Then I took a few minutes to validate the debit card for the Ally bank account. If I get a new couch for the cottage I'll use that.
And then I started here.
