Last full day
Aug. 19th, 2023 09:58 pmI got up at 10 and ate breakfast and had coffee, showered and dressed. Then I packed all my clothing except my pajamas and what I'm wearing tomorrow, plus of course what I'm wearing today.
Then I puttered online for a bit. I texted the taxi driver that drove me here and asked him to pick me up tomorrow, so that's all set.
Then I went to Sue's cottage. Linda was there too, and we spent a few hours sitting and talking while they painted rocks from the beach. So that was a lot of fun. When Linda left, I did too and helped her carry stuff back to her cottage. I stayed for a little bit and said hi to Alan, and then came back to my cottage and had a very late lunch.
I took my recycling up to the dumpster and walked back. Then I puttered online for awhile more. I got some nice texts from![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
mashfanficchick. And I called zer mother to make sure she was picking me up at the train station tomorrow. She had just come from getting the battery in her car replaced, which she had been trying to get done on the warranty for 8 days now, so I dodged a bullet there, if she hadn't been able to get it fixed I'd be out of luck.
Janet came over to say hello and sat and talked for a bit. That was nice.
Then I went over to Cliff's cottage and visited for awhile, he put on episodes of Michael Moore's old TV show. We watched two episodes and then I brought him the ginger ale that I got from Instacart, and came back and Skyped the FWiB.
After we Skyped I called Oldest Brother for the third time but he didn't pick up. I hope he's OK. Then I had dinner, and ate the last bit of the ice cream.
The Mullane clan are having a get-together and I saw and said hello to Carrie and her sister.
And that's all there is to say.
