Gaming night
Aug. 30th, 2023 10:42 pmMade it to work on time, though I did oversleep a bit. Finished the inventory of the non-fiction and biographies, and sent it.
We were going crazy getting ready for a VIP visit planned for tomorrow, which we weren't supposed to know about but which we were notified of. But then we were notified they weren't coming after all. We are maintaining high alert just in case.

mashfanficchick to find out if we were going out for Carvel tonight; ze called me, turns out they were in a minor but damaging accident yesterday and they car is out of commission.
I also texted Denise to find out if she and John are OK regarding the hurricane. She texted back, they are good, it had already passed them.
Came home and the letter for the jury thing from the nursing home finally arrived, so I can do something about that now.
I called Oldest Brother for the second time, then Skyped the FWiB until my game time of 8:00. Turn out I had leveled up to 3rd level. We killed the boss monster and then went on to the main confrontation.
When we finished, I called Oldest Brother again. Didn't call the Kid cause I know she's out tonight.mashfanficchick called me and we talked for awhile, they are getting a rental car until theirs is fixed.
That's about all.
Oh, something I forgot to mention yesterday. As I was closing the book drop at the end of the day, I discovered a very large praying mantis on the building door, just hanging out looking cool. I was afraid to leave it there, it would have been killed for sure, so I carefully moved it to the shrubbery. I wish I had gotten a picture of it, but I didn't.
