Started out good, I was on time to work. Forgot that Oldest Brother had his hematology appointment today, so I tried to call him and didn't get him. Then I remembered.

We had a meeting for the children's librarian to discuss the meeting she was at yesterday about the afterschool program we're now going to be doing. It sounds like there is relatively little for us to do, so that's good.

There was no YA Chat today, which was a bummer. I used the time to get inventory done. Then when I was on the desk I got a phone call that turned out to have been from the doctor's office where Oldest Brother was. I didn't answer it because I didn't know what it was. They left a message that I should call. So during my lunch I did.

And that was a fiasco. They couldn't identify who had called me, so they couldn't tell me what they wanted to tell me, finally after I had thoroughly panicked, they found it was the nurse practitioner, and said she would call me back. Spoiler alert, she never did.

I also called middle Brother's group home and arranged for John and Denise to pick him up at 5, Unfortunately John texted later and said 4:30 was more accurate, so now I have to call then back and change it.

I also called the social worker to arrange for Oldest Brother to go out Sunday to dinner with us. She called me back in about an hour and said the the rehabilitation person had said no because he's a Hoyer lift patient. I said he'd always been a Hoyer lift patient and he'd been out several times while he was there. She said she'd talk to the rehabilitation person and call me back.

So later the rehabilitation guy called me and said it was policy that Hoyer patients couldn't leave in wheelchairs, only on stretchers. I said that wasn't true, he'd been out in a wheelchair several times. I was quite angry and showed it. He said he'd check and call me back.

Well the good news is that he changed his tune, said it was OK, since it was less than five hours, but now I'm worried about Thanksgiving and Christmas.

At 3 I showed Iron Man. Got five kids, none of whom stayed till the end, but they all count in my stats.

I finished the inventory of my graphic novels and manga fiction, and got the report sent away.

The bus home was late, and super crowded. I finally got home, called Oldest Brother, back from the doctor. No one has called me about it yet.

I started work on revising the story for the SHarecon zine, and then Skyped the FWiB. Then it was time to call Middle Brother, who is looking forward to Sunday.

After we Skyped, I called Oldest Brother again, and the Kid, who didn't answer, then finished the story and sent it off. I arranged the taxi for Sunday. Finally I fed the pets, and had dinner myself.

So that was the day, and I'm glad it's over.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. Middle Brother's group home.

3. My pets.

4. Lovely weather.

5. Oldest Brother got allowed to come Sunday,

6. Family.
