A Saturday off

For the first time in awhile. I got up at 10:30 and had breakfast and coffee, finished just in time to go to my Al-anon meeting by Zoom. The meeting was very good.

After that I called mashfanficchick to find out if ze was doing anything today. Ze wasn't, so I puttered online, then went to the bedroom and started playing around on my phone. The Kid called, and we had a nice long conversation.

Then I got up and showered and dressed and went down to the drugstore to fill some prescriptions. I waited nearly an hour for them to fill my rosuvastatin! On the way back I stopped at the halal truck and got a lamb gyro for lunch/dinner, and came home.

I ate the gyro, which was delicious, and puttered online for awhile more, then called Oldest Brother for the second time.

Then I went to the bedroom and read, and finished the book I've been working on, Godkiller. It is very good, but ends on a cliffhanger, which means I will have to get the second book when it comes out in March 2024.

I got together a load of laundry which I mean to take down tomorrow morning, and I ate my leftover Carvel sundae from Wednesday.

I Skyped the FWiB for a bit less than an hour, not as long as usual. Then I went to the bedroom and started reading Walk the Wild With Me. The third or so time I've picked it up. This time I mean to finish it before I start something new!

I tried calling Oldest Brother for the third time, but he didn't pick up. Worrisome, if he doesn't tomorrow, I'll have to call nursing again.

Then it was pet feeding time so I fed the pets, and had some cheese and crackers, and here I am.
