This will not be fun
Nov. 13th, 2023 10:26 pmThough the day itself actually was. After sleeping very badly I went in to Manhattan for the Micro:bit training. This time breakfast had arrived and I had half a bagel with scallion cream cheese and several pastries. And some fruit too.
The training was more difficult than the wearable circuits was, but still fun. There was some technical bedevilment in the first half.
However, what wasn't fun was the fact that, although I had emailed her to tell her on the 7th that I was accepted to the training and needed it to be put on the schedule, my boss never did so. I realized this last night when I checked the weekly to see when I was free this week, and noticed it was not done. I called from work this morning when I got there to notify them. Of course I got in trouble for it, from the second in charge (the boss is on sick leave today) and I'm sure I will get reamed out tomorrow by the boss, too. Because I should have checked earlier, and I should have put it on the google calendar (which I did. I don't know why it isn't showing up there). It is unfair and unjust and it will suck.
We had lunch, sandwiches from Panera, and chips and cookies, and we got out before 4, so that was nice, and I think I will be able to do a program with the micro:bit.
Came home and did some financial stuff with the Kid, then talked for over an hour, which was nice.
Called Oldest Brother, he did not answer during the day, or at night, but did during the evening so I don't know what's going on.
Then I Skyped the FWiB, who read my story and liked it, so that's good. Waiting to hear from
mashfanficchick about it.
Dozed a bit between 9 and 10, then fed the pets and started here.
That's the day.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. I did notice the schedule mistake.
3. The Kid.
4. The training was pretty good.
5. Nice weather.
6. The FWiB liked my story and found it intelligible.
