Mixed bag of stuff
Dec. 1st, 2023 10:41 pmHad another bad morning, but made it to work only 20 minutes late. The day was very quiet and passed fairly quickly.
I called the dry cleaner and he agreed to have my coat ready by Tuesday instead of Wednesday, so that's good.
I also called the social worker at the nursing home and she put me in touch with the nursing supervisor who said that she would have someone unpack that box of Oldest Brother's stuff, and would be in touch with me about when his next medical appointments are. I suspect they never made any appointments after he was in the hospital, so it's good I prodded. Regarding the Covid exposure, he feels OK so far, so fingers crossed.
After work I went to Boston Market for dinner, and then went to my meeting. It was small, but a new person came, so that's good.
We cancelled the second meeting and I thought I'd be home by 8:30. The bus never came. At all. I waited over an hour and finally called an Uber. I shared a ride so I saved some money, but it was expensive. But I was cold and wet and there was no evidence the bus was coming at all.
Anyway,, I got home and changed to my warm pajamas out of my wet clothes. Called Oldest Brother for the third time. Oh, I forgot to say, John called him today which is good.
Then I Skyped the FWiB who is still sick so we only talked a little while.
Then I fed the pets, and now it's time for bed.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Uber.
3. Fudge.
4. George Santos was expelled from Congress.
5. My meetings and the people there.
6. Warm snuggly pajamas.
