Got up at a reasonable hour (for me) and had coffee but not breakfast because I had to fast for four hours before the scans. I guess I could have gotten up earlier and eaten but I would rather sleep longer, so that's what I did.

mashfanficchick's mother picked me up and took me to the lab. I got in, and checked in, and proceeded to wait until 2:00, when they called me for the scan.
So I changed into the hospital gowns, and locked all my stuff, including my phone, in the locker, and went into the room for the scan. That's when the technician and I both discovered that I hadn't been given the barium solution to drink an hour previously that I was supposed to have been given. Surprise!
So he got the solution for me, and I had to drink it and wait another hour for it to get into my digestive tract. And I had nothing to track time with, or play on, my phone or my fitbit. It was... BORING! Finally I got my phone out of the locker and played around on it. But by then it was almost time for the scan anyway.
The scans only took a few minutes, I drank some more barium, and he put the IV in for the contrast solution, then took the initial scan. Then he gave me the contrast solution in the IV, and that was a weird feeling, all hot all over my body, and a strange feeling in my mouth.
Then that was over, and I went and got dressed again, and calledmashfanficchick's mother to come get me. I texted the Kid, and she texted back. She's going out tonight.
mashfanficchick and zer mother both came and we went to get food, because it was now after 4:00 and I hadn't eten all day, and I was hungry! I got poke, and got a large drink because I was told to hydrate extra to wash the stuff out of my system.
Came home, and puttered around, not doing much, until somewhat after 7 when I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice time, and talked a little over an hour.
I made dinner, and then went to the bedroom and scrolled Facebook until pet feeding time.
And now the Kid is texting again.
