Today at work I filled out the retirement paperwork. I still have to submit two files, uploaded, my birth certificate, and something for EFT, which I assume means Electronic Funds Transfer, but I don't know what document they want submitted for that. Maybe a voided check? I submitted a query and I should get an answer in 5 to 7 days. It's no big rush, I have until April 19 to submit everything.
Also today at work I asked Oldest Brother's doctor at the hospital about the antipsychotic he's being given. She says it dates from his previous hospitalization, and she'll look into it.
After work, in pouring rain, I went to visit Oldest Brother in the hospital. I took the bus to 20th Ave and an Uber from there again. He was not too good. Less responsive than the other day, actually. He's been moved to another room, and literally just as I had started texting the Kid to tell her that, she walked in the room. So that was nice. She stayed for awhile, and we talked to him.
After about 45 minutes I left and Ubered home. I was all wet from the rain so I got right in my pajamas and made dinner. Then the FWiB and I tried to Skype. There were technical difficulties but eventually we got through, but he could only talk for a half hour because he was coughing so badly. I am worried about him, but he sees his new doctor on Tuesday.
Then I cleaned the cat pan, and then went and lay down in the bedroom and scrolled Facebook and played solitaire.
Tomorrow I have brunch with the Kid and her boyfriend, and then go to
mashfanficchick's place to hang out until we go out for dinner with Elyssa. Unless ze's visiting zer father who just got home from his hospitalization for a hernia operation.
So that was the day, Next step in the retirement process, upload the birth certificate, and then make an appointment with Benefits to make it official with work.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. My paperwork done.
4. Uber.
5. Warm pajamas.
6. Chocolate.
