I am home

The Kid took me, along with [personal profile] mashfanficchick out to Long Island to my oncologist appointment and port flush. I found out that the reason that they put off taking out the port was that the scan shwed two nodes in my lungs, one in each. She doesn't think they are important though, but just to be safe I have to have another scan next month.

Then the Kid brought me and [personal profile] mashfanficchick to my place where ze brought my stuff in that I had accumulated at zer place, and moved stuff around to make it safer for me on crutches. It was at that point that I realized I'd left the cord to my laptop plugged in at zer place.

The only recourse available for various reasons was to ask RK if he could pick it up and bring it over after work. Thankfully he agreed. [personal profile] mashfanficchick Ubered home.

I Skyped the FWiB on my phone and I was going to use the computer until the battery died for my Pathfinder game, til I realized that I had only 23% power. So I did the game on my phone too. No very satisfactory, though the game went very well. We killed two vampire mists and the sea hag.

After that I ate the Carvel I had from last week, and then went to the bedroom after unpacking and taking my evening meds.

I puttered on my phone, I ordered a shower seat from Amazon so I can take a shower with my broken foot and I did a Shipt order which will be delivered tomorrow from CVS rather than Target to get rolled cotton to use in wrapping my foot.

RK was supposed to leave work at 12 but there was an emergency and he didn't until almost 3. But he was as good as his word and got me the computer cable, which [personal profile] mashfanficchick brought in.

And now it is past time for bed!!

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. My friends.

3. The Kid.

4. My D&D group.

5. Good report from the oncologist.

6. Bed soon!

But I did some important things. After being up til 4:30 I slept late, though not as late as I really should have.

My shower seat was delivered fairly early. I woke up when they texted so I went and brought it in, then went back to bed. Then my Shipt order from CVS was delivered and I got up ans started the day, such as it was.

The main thing I did was print what HR sent me, and fill out my part of the paperwork. There is several pages that need to be filled out by the doctor, so I called the podiatrist and arranged to go in Saturday and have him fill them out. I'll have to Uber over and back.

Then on Monday I'll be seeing [personal profile] mashfanficchick because I've been invited to go with zer to zer father's seder. So I'll give zer the papers and ze will fax them on Tuesday.

I still have the paperwork on the COBRA stuff to figure out and fill out. I think that COBRA covers my health stuff for the interim before my pension is finalized. That's expensive, whereas once my pension is finalized, there should be no monthly payment. But it is what it is.

I had emailed my management company about the problems with my kitchen sink this morning before I went to bed. They have not responded yet.

I assembled the shower seat, which was easier than I expected, and I put it in the bathtub. Tomorrow I'll attempt a shower.

Then I tried to take a nap but ended up just scrolling fcebook and playing solitaire. Texted the Kid, and she replied, she's feeling better than yesterday.

At 6:30 I got up and had dinner. Then I Skyped the FWiB. At 8:30 we took a break for me to call Middle Brother. He is fine, got his new CD player which made him very happy.

I think I'm going to feed the pets a little early and then go to bed. I am tired, didn't get anywhere near enough sleep.

And that was the day.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. The Kid.

3. [personal profile] mashfanficchick

4. Bed soon.

5. Chocolate halvah.

6. New shower seat.
