Blood tests
May. 7th, 2024 10:27 pmGot up and didn't have breakfast or coffee because I had the tests scheduled. Showered and dressed, and
mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up at 12:20 and took me to the tests.
I got there at 12:45. I checked in on my phone. It told me i was checked in and sit down and wait to be called. My appointment was for 1:00. I waited. And waited. And waited. Til about 1:20.
To make a long story short, the phone app hadn't actually checked me in. I was told, when I queried, that I had to check in on the kiosk. So I did and was told that I had missed my appointment and would have to make another for 2:20. I scrubbed that and signed in for a walk in appointment and it said the wait would be 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
I complained to the next person to come out to call someone (there are no humans in the waiting area) I complained vigorously. They took me then.
So I finally got out with my bloods taken and my urine sample given.
mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up and we went to Panera. We hung out there for the afternoon, which was fun. The Kid texted me.
Then at 6:30ish they took me to the Rite Aid where I get my prescriptions, which is closing. I needed to find out where they were sending their prescription records. Fortunately it's to a Duane Reed/Walgrens not too far away, though I'll have to take a bus to get there.
While we were there, Dani called and we had a chat with her. They drove me home though because I had to get to my Al-anon meeting at 8.
The meeting was good but small. After that I Skyped the FWiB and we had a nice talk.
The only down part of the day aside from the wait at the lab, was that, while at Panera, I got hate messages from my ex-friend Lynn. I don't know why she does this, the only thing I've done to her is defriend her on Facebook. I should block her on Messenger but for some reason I don't. I don't read her messages, though.
Anyway, a pretty good day for the most part.
Fed the pets, now timefor bed.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Blood tests done.
3. My friends.
4. My meetings and the people there.
5. I should be able to get to my new drug store once my foot heals.
6. Got messages from John Ivon.
