Another quiet day
Jun. 11th, 2024 10:37 pmI got up early, had breakfast, and went back to bed. Then I slept late, and finally lay in bed for awhile playing solitaire and scrolling Facebook. Eventually I got up and had coffee.
I really didn't do much for most of the day. I got a phone call from Middle Brother's new life care manager who wanted me to sign his life plan signature sheet and send it back so I did. I also called Duane Reade to try and figure out what was going on with my prescriptions. It seems like they are both ready for me to pick up but at the same time they say there is one that could not be filled. Weird.
Anyway, I puttered around on the net, looked up fan stuff, and finally Skyped the FWiB at 7.
At 8 I had my Al-anon meeting which was small but good.
Then I Skyped the FWiB again. I told him about a short story I read about an angel saving the life of a child that has an impact like a punch to the stomach. I got off and I found it online, it's called Angelica, it's by Jane Yolen, and it's here: Angelica
Be warned, it's not a nice story.
Anyway, I got a call from
mashfanficchick about plans for tomorrow. Hopefully it will be fun.
I put a bucket of water in the turtle tank. which was not easy while using a cane to walk.
That's about all.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. My friends.
3. My meetings and the people in them.
4. My cat.
5. Fudgesicles.
6. Middle Brother's care team.
