Saw Oldest Brother today

mashfanficchick's mother to see if we were still on for taking me to see Oldest Brother. We were, so I took a shower and got dressed and waited for her to pick me up.
Somewhere in there I printed out the referral for the podiatrist on Thursday, too.
Anyway, she picked me up and we went to eat lunch, my treat, at Taco Bell. That was enjoyable. Then she took me to the nursing home.
I am happy to report that he seemed even better than the last time I was there. He's off the oxygen cannula, and he was aware and alert and we had a nice visit. Of course he can't talk because of the aphasia, but he was able to communicate with yes, no, OK, and hand gestures and expressions. So that's comforting.
I stayed an hour and then was picked up bymashfanficchick's mother again, and we went and picked up mashfanficchick, who had been working. I called the Kid and told her how things had gone, and we had a short but nice talk.
We went to Starbucks to hang out for about an hour and a half, and then they brought me home.
I Skyped the FWiB for a few minutes but then it was time for my meeting. However, S couldn't make it and M didn't show up, so I waited 15 minutes alone and then cancelled. Disappointing, and worrisome about M. I hope she's OK.
Anyway, I puttered around for a few minutes, and then Skyped the FWiB again. We talked for about an hour, so that was nice.
Then I went to the bedroom and played solitaire for a bit, til it was time to feed the pets. And now here I am. Tonight I will start reading the sequel to The Clairvoyant Countess, Kaleidoscope.
Tomorrow I have the oncologist and port flush. I will hopefully hear about taking out the port soon.
