Visited Oldest Brother again
Jul. 30th, 2024 10:30 pmStayed up really late last night (almost 4) reading the end of Have His Carcass. So I slept til 12ish. Then I got up, had breakfast and coffee, and called ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
mashfanficchick to see if anything was up. It wasn't.
So I called NYSLRS about my online account being locked, and also, all the material that I got said pensions were paid on the 30th of the month, and mine hadn't been. I had to wait for their callback service, over an hour, but I got the account unlocked, and was told that pensions were paid on the last business day of the month, so, tomorrow, not today. So everything is OK.
The kid called me with some good news, and we talked a bit. That was nice. And I put a bucket of water in the turtle tank.
By then it was after 3, so I went and took a shower and dressed, and went to the hospital to see Oldest Brother. He had some sort of procedure today, and I think he was still drowsy from whatever they gave him for it, so although he was aware and interested, he was falling asleep. I left after about 45 minutes.
Came home by bus again, and then had something to eat.
At 7 I Skyped the FWiB, and we had a nice time. Then at 8 time for my Al-anon meeting by Zoom. It was pretty good tonight.
After the meeting i went into the bedroom and played solitaire, and then started reading The House on the Cerulean Sea. It is very interesting so far, I think I like it.
Then at pet feeding time I had dinner, and fed the pets of course.
And now I'm writing here.
