Went to see Oldest Brother today
Sep. 24th, 2024 10:21 pmI got up when my alarm went off at 6:30, tossed on the pajamas I wore in Rochester, rather than the nightgown I was wearing, and took the bags of donations outside the entryway. Then I came back in, had breakfast but not coffee, and went back to bed.
I woke up again around 10, and got up and had coffee. Then I put in a Shipt order.
I waited for the Shipt order to get here, and when it did I put it away, and took a shower and dressed. Then I went out and went to the nursing home to see Oldest Brother. The donations had been picked up by then, and a receipt left.
They were working on him when I got there, so I had to wait. But then we had a nice visit. I read him the email John sent me and he listened to it. I talked to him about the stuff that's going on, my weekend and so on. I stayed a little over an hour from when I got to see him.
Then I came home and puttered around. I called the Municipal Credit Union because I couldn't get into the online banking site. After much calling and attempting my credentials I spoke to a real live human and found out that my online banking had been canceled cause I didn't use it in about a year. So I had to reregister for online banking. I did so and took care of my business. It took a damn long time though between all the calls I made and everything.
And the Kid called which was nice.
I lay down for awhile and played solitaire. Then at 7 I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice time until 8, when I went to my Al-anon meeting by Zoom. It was very good.
After the meeting I had dinner, and then went to the bedroom to play solitaire and read until pet feeding time. Then I fed the pets and started here.
