Meeting, and Starsky and Hutch
Oct. 5th, 2024 10:49 pmGot up at 9:30ish, had breakfast and coffee, an showered and dressed. Then Ubered over to my Al-anon meeting in Bowne Park. I was the first one there, but pretty soon the rest of the group showed, to the tune of 14 total, which is pretty good, considering everything. And we have a line on getting a new indoor location!
After the meeting, i got a ride to the diner with C. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll, and iced coffee. It was very good. Then got a ride home from C.
Then popped into the Starsky and hutch episode watch and chat. I just caught the end of Long Walk Down a Short Dirt Road. I'm sorry I missed it, I haven't seen that one in a long while and don't remember it to well.
Anyway, we chatted for a very long time this week, until after 8. We discussed many things, including, sadly enough, the pancreatic cancer of one of the S&H fangroups's members, Renee. This gave me a jolt, thinking about Lynn's pancreatic cancer. It just seems so awful for both of them to have it.
After we ended, I Skyped the FWiB, and we talked for a bit over an hour. so it was almost 9:30 when I finally went down to the laundromat to get my laundry. I had to wait for the attendant to show up, but I got it, and got home.
By then it was exactly 10 and I fed the pets. Then I caught up on my internet reading, and then started here.
Oh, and the Mets won against the Phillies!
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. My meetings and the people there.
3. Starsky and Hutch fandom.
4. Clean laundry.
5. Absolutely gorgeous weather.
6. The Neptune Diner.
