Day with mashfanficchick

I didn't get up until 12, and then I had breakfast and coffee. I got out my special Halloween cup for the season, which makes me happy. After that I showered and dressed and went to Flushing to meet mashfanficchick.

First I stopped at Duane Reade to pick up my prescriptions. Then I met zer at the steps of the library. We decided to go and see what there was for lunch on Roosevelt Ave. and ended up in the mall there, in the food court, which is entirely Asian restaurants. We both got beef stew over rice, with miso soup. I got a strawberry milk bubble tea to drink. Then we stopped at a srttreet vendor and got something I can't reemember the spelling of, but fresh fruit (strawberries in my case) on a stick in a sugar candy glaze. Yummy, everything.

We did various things, and eventually ended up getting Jersey Mike's for dinner and going back to zer place, where we hung out and half heartedly watched the World Series. Ze is rooting for the Dodgers, I am totally divided because I feel as though I should root for the Yankees, because I worked in the Bronx for so long, and they are a New York team, and the Dodgers knocked the Mets out of the playoffs, but on the other hand they are the Yankees! Well it doesn't really matter. The Dodgers won 4 to 2.

Then as it late I Ubered home. Alas, the FWiB went to bed at 10:30 so no Skype. I fed the pets and started here.

Slept badly last night

Not sure how much sleep I got but not enough, my Fitbit say 6 and a half hours, though I don't know if that's accurate.

But I woke up around 11 and got up around 12. Last night someone asked me to read what she had written in her Spooktober story, so I had that to do today. But first I had breakfast and coffee. I used the larger setting on the Keurig with my Halloween cup so I had an extra big serving which was nice. I used up the last of the pumpkin spice creamer, but I have plenty of pumpkin spice coffee pods left.

Anyway, after breakfast I put in a Shipt order. There was no pumpkin spice creamer, so I got another type. Oh well. Got more coffee though, that's why I have plenty now.

After putting in the Shipt order I read the story and I want to know the rest so I hope she finishes.

Then I made phone calls. I called my oncologist's to get my appointment moved from the 6th to the 12th so the Kid can take me. Once again we're going to go out to Akiyama afterward.

And I called Oldest Brother's nursing home to find out what was going on with his gall bladder surgery. I was dismayed to find the surgeon thinks he isn't stable enough for surgery now. I don't know what they are going to do, it depends on what his doctor says. But the good news is they had upped his prostate medication and are trying removing the Foley Catheter again. So fingers crossed that works.

While I was waiting for the Shipt order to arrive I put up some Halloween decoratoins, which I should have really done awhile ago but at least they're up now. Not anywhere near all I have, but a nice amount. Including pumpkin lights around the entryway to the living room.

After the Shipt order was delivered, I took a shower and washed my hair. My hair really needed it.

I puttered around until 6:30 when I Skyped the FWiB, early because he didn't talk to his friends tonight.

Then at 8 I had my Al-anon meeting by Zoom. S wasn't there but it was pretty good.

After that I made dinner and went to my bedroom and played solitaire til pet feeding time.

And speaking of pets, it's National Cat Day. So cuddle your kitties!
