Another day in Manhattan

mashfanficchick and arranged to meet in Union Square. So I showered and dressed.
Right before I took my shower I got a call from Oldest Brother's nursing home, they want to have a consultation on his care and situation on Christmas Eve. I said I couldn't make it then and couldn't they reschedule. She said no, but they'd call me afterward and fill me in. Not real happy about that, but I don't know what I can do about it.
Then I took the 20 bus to Flushing and the 7 train. I had just gotten to 90th street whenmashfanficchick called and we changed plans, I got off at 74th, and changed to the E train, and met zer at the Chelsea Market.
We walked through and checked out a couple of stores, then we took the L train to Union Square. First we did the Greenmarket, and I bought some maple sugar candy and a bottle of maple cream soda.
Then we walked through the holiday shops, and I got food, a delicious Tuscan warm sandwich. Ze didn't get anything there. we went across the street to Whole foos and ze got prepared food there, and I drank my soda, which was wonderful. Though very sweet, and I think if I had too many I'd get tired of it.
Anyway, after that we went to the Strand. I pretty much finished my Christmas shopping there, with several books for zer and one for the kid.
Finally we went to Barnes and Noble, and I got one last thing for Middle Brother. I think my shopping is now complete and I just have to wait for deliveries. While I was there my psychiatrist called and I talked to him.
Then it was time to go home. We separated in the station, I took the W train to Queensboro Plaza. I almost missed the stoop because the announcement was so weak, but I saw the name on the station out the window and made it.
When I got to Flushing I went to Duane Reade to get my prescriptions filled, but they weren't all ready yet (I had three to get). They say they will be tomorrow morning.
Came home and made it just in time for my D&D game, which was starting a little late anyway. We started after I arrived and it was a lot of fun. We fought two globsters and a mimic.
After that I Skyped the FWiB and that was fun as always.
And now it's past time for bed!
