Doctor visit
Jan. 7th, 2025 10:25 pmHad my alarm set for 10 but woke up earlier, and got up at 9:30. I had breakfast and coffee, then puttered on the computer, including playing Bookworm. I found that, even though I could have sworn there was a download link. there is not, and I have to play online. Oh well.
Anyway, I showered and dressed, and waited til RK picked me up at 1:15. We got to the doctor's about a half hour early, but I still had to wait to 2 to be seen by the nurse. She took my blood pressure, and weight, and gave me a paper gown and left me to wait for the doctor.
I think it was actually about an hour that I waited in that paper gown! I played solitaire on my phone. At least the music on the sound system was enjoyable.
Anyway, the surgeon finally arrived and went over my test results and stuff. She said my CT scans look good to her, so if the oncologist agrees, I can have the port out. Then she checked me out, said everything looked good, told me to come back in 6 months (unless I'm getting the port out of course, in which case she's the one who does it), and have my annual mammogram and sonogram in April.
So I picked up the paperwork, and called RK and we went looking for somewhere for a late lunch. Very late at that point!
We found a Thai restaurant that was having their lunch special just long enough for us to make it. I had pad Thai which came with two spring rolls, and Thai iced tea to drink. It was all delicious, but there wasn't a whole lot of pad Thai. A smaller lunch serving I suppose.
Then RK drove me home, and it was about 5:30 by the time I got here. I puttered online some more, and finally it was 7 and I Skyped the FWiB.
We talked til it was time for my AL-anon meeting by Zoom. It was very small, just me and M, and S came late. Five people signed in, then left when they saw how small the meeting was. At least I assume that's why.

mashfanficchick who had texted me during the meeting. We made plans to get together Thursday.
Then I ate something, and lay down and played solitaire on my phone til pet feeding time. And here I am.
