Dinner out
Feb. 8th, 2025 11:25 pmWent to my meeting this morning, was late getting up and then had a discussion by text not of the most pleasant sort, with the Kid. But I did get to the meeting while the speaker was still speaking so I made most of it.
Didn't go to the diner today because of going out tonight. Instead I took the 28 bus straight through to Flushing and the train from there to
mashfanficchick's place, where we hung out, and did some work, until zer friend Elissa (or Elyssa, I'm not sure how she spells it) picked use up along with her daughter Reet and her friend Laura, and we went out to eat at a Korean Barbecue.
I had never eaten at a Korean barbecue before, it is interesting. They cook the meet right at your table, it's thin, bite sized bits and there are dipping sauces and vegetables. It's all you can eat, main courses and sides.
I had a Korean soda to drink, and tiramisu for dessert. By the time we were done and out, the snow had started. It's pretty deep already, but I think it's supposed to turn to rain so we'll see how much there is left by morning.
Anyway, Elissa drove us home, but I got here just as the FWiB had gone to bed. So we didn't get to Skype. *sigh*
Oh. some not so great news about Oldest Brother, the doctor called me from the hospital and said he wasn't doing so well, and they might have to reintubate again. They haven't yet, so I'm hopeful that he'll do OK, but I'm worried.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Friends.
3. My meetings and the people there.
4.
mashfanficchick's father for advice.
5. Good food.
6. The Kid is home safe.
