Feb. 12th, 2025 11:50 pmLast night I forgot to bring my milk and creamer from RK's car, so mashfanficchick took it home and refrigerated it for me, but that meant I had no milk for breakfast today.
I got up around 11:30 and made coffee with the last of my creamer, then calledmashfanficchick> Ze invited me to stay over tonight and I said yes.
I took off the dressing from my incision, as the dictor said I should, showered, and dressed. I have a neat little riw of 5 staples there holding it together.
Anyway, I packed up everything including my laptop and my Pathfinder book and dice, fed the pets, and headed out. I got breakfast at the bagel shop, a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll, then got the bus into Flushing.
I went first to the drugstore, but they had just started their 1:30 to 2:00 lunch break. Rather than wait, I went to the hospital to see Oldest Brother, and planned to get the antibiotics on the way back.
Oldest Brother wasn't as alert today as the day before yesterday, he's under sedation for his heart rate. But he woke up more as I was there, and he knew I was there. The doctor came in while I was there and talked to me, she said he was doing better.
I stayed about an hour, then left and went to the drug store again. This time both the s=escalators, and I found, the elevator, were out of order. Fantastic. I trundled with my backpack, purse, and laptop up to the stopped escalator, and luckily there was no line at the pharmacy, but it was exhausting.
I got my antibiotics, and continued on tomashfanficchick's place.
I took one of the antibiotics, and we hung out and had a snack/lunch of cheese and crackers, then ze had a phone appointment. After that was over, we watched an episode of Dr Odyssey.
I was going to Skype the FWiB for a few minutes before my D&D game, but no sooner did we get connected than Denise called about family stuff and cottage stuff. We talked for just long enough that there was no time to do anything but say goodbye to the FWiB.
Then I went to the D&D game, and that was fun. We killed Hounds of Tindalos on behalf of the will o wisps, and they sent us off in the direction of giant bees which we did not kill because they weren't harming us so we left them alone.
After the game, I Skyped the FWiB briefly again. then we had dinner, and now I'm doing this.
