Working day
Apr. 4th, 2025 11:43 pmGot up somewhat after 11 and had breakfast and coffee, and then got my laundry together. Then I showered, and dressed, and took it down to the laundromat.
I decided not to go see Oldest Brother in the hospital because they called me and told me he was having the MRI today, and the procedure to drain the fluid in his abdomen, and I figured I shouldn't bother being around when they were doing that.
So after I took the laundry down I tried to deal with the turtle tank. I hooked up the electric pump I got, but it didn't work too well. So I tried a siphon, and that didn't either. I resorted to dipping water out of the tank with a plastic bowl. Very unsatisfactory but eventually I got enough out to put in three buckets of clean water.
The tank is still very dirty, because I couldn't get everything out, but it's better.
Then I killed time until it was time to go to my meeting in the Bronx. As usual I had pizza for dinner, but first I went to the bank to get out cash to pay the laundry tomorrow.
The meeting was very good. K drove me to the bus stop afterward. I came home and Skyped the FWiB.

mashfanficchick. We are going to change the details of our Ohio trip, due to three things. 1. Ze gets some extra time to clear zer stuff out of the house, 2. I get more time for Oldest Brother to get better, 3. Dani is sick and it goves her time to recover.
So it looks like we'll be going to Ohio a week later, and staying a week longer, that means I have to reschedule my mammogram, which I already did, and my appointment with the eye surgeon. Which I'll try to do tomorrow.
Fortunately my appointment with my PCP had already been rescheduled because he cancelled.
Anyway, that's going to make getting Middle Brother's Easter basket to him much easier.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Finally, after much struffling, got my mammogram appointment changed.
3. My meetings and the people there.
4. Going to have clean laundry.
