And still more family times

Got up late this morning, and was just having my coffee when I got a text from Amy that she and Steve had decided on the spur of the moment to come down from Hartford and see Oldest Brother.

I hurried as fast as I could to shower and dress, and they arrived around 2:00. They had John and Denise with them and we went over to the nursing home to see Oldest Brother.

We had a nice visit, and Betsy called while we were there so he got to talk to her as well.

Then when Oldest Brother got tired, we decided to go to have coffee somewhere. We found a really nice little coffee shop around the corner from me that I had no idea was there. I will go back. We sat in back and had coffee, and talked for a good long time. Then finally Steve and Amy went into Manhattan to see their son Kevin, and drove John and Denise back to wherever they left their car, I don't know.

I walked home, and called mashfanficchck and found that ze and Mandy were going to watch Black Widow tonight, and did I want to join them? So I took the bus over, ze having shown me how to do the whole trip by bus rather than the subway.

I met up with them in Starbucks, and we sat for awhile talking, then went back to zer place. We hung out and chatted, and eventually watched the movie, which I enjoyed very much.

After that we had something to eat, and watched an episode of an animated Marvel show called What If... which was very funny and good.

Finally I Ubered home, and here I am.

Saw both brothers

Got to bed last night at 3:00. At 4:00 someone was buzzing my doorbell. Woke me up, took me some time to get back to sleep.

I had the alarm set for 10:00 but I stayed in bed til 11:00. Then I had to rush to get ready because John and Denise were picking up Middle Brother at 11:00 and figured about an hour to get to me. So I rushed breakfast and coffee, and my shower, and got ready with abut 15 minutes to spare before they got here.

Middle Brother looks very good. He was happy to see me. We went to the diner for lunch before going to see Oldest Brother. Middle Brother had his usual. I had a breakfast sandwich.

When we got to the nursing home, Oldest Brother was sitting up in a chair. They said they are trying to get him up for four hours every other day.

We visited for about an hour and a half, and he was pretty good. Started to get drowsy toward the end so we left.

John and Denise brought me home and then took Middle Brother back. I did some fiddling around with a couple of old photos that I had told them about. Then I just puttered online, and also played solitaire on my phone, until 7:00 when I finally got to Skype the FWiB.

We talked til 8:00 when I had my Al-anon meeting. It was very small, and again M didn't come. I hope she's OK, I should call and check.

After the meeting I had some food, and then went to the bedroom and played solitaire until pet feeding time.

And now I'm going to finish up and go to bed.
