Memorial Day
Started with a call from The Kid, who got me on to financial topics, and ultimately talked me through creating a spreadsheet on my expenses for the month, and checking out my credit record. Not as bad as I feared. So after that I talked to the FWiB, early in the day for a change, and then puttered on line for awhile til I decided to go out to the park. I saw lots of turtles, and geese, and a black bird that might have been a cormorant, and the biggest surprise of all, a big white egret, sitting on the edge of the pond only a few feet from m. I got a photo on my phone, and once I figure out how to get the picture from my phone to the computer I'll post it here.
After that I walked back, stopping at a deli for a sandwich and eating it in the other park. Then I came home and read and now I'm feeding the cats and posting.
Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day, and remembers the significance of the day, to remember the honored dead of our wars.
Gratitude List:
1. The soldiers who fought for our country.
2. A day off to remember them.
3. Beautiful birds.
4. Parks.
5. The FWiB.
