Bad news regarding the FWiB

After not calling for a few days, I tried calling again tonight. This time I got an answer, but not him. His wife answered. Befuddled, all I could think to do was ask for him, and she snapped "he's not here" and hung up. Which leads me to think my fear that she's carried out her threat to kick him out has happened. So I have no idea where he is or how he's doing. Probably on the street somewhere. I mourn for his brokenness.

Aside from that, nothing to say. The day was pretty basic. I did the gaming program with the teens.

Nothing else to say.

Thanks. I'm pretty down about it. I can only hope someone in his family or a friend has taken him in. I don't think he can care for himself in the state he's in.

Maybe he was at the store picking up some milk and the wife was in a bad mood? Yeah, the odds are not good but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things haven't gone from bad to truly terrible. *hugs*

I'm sorry about your friend. While it's hard to deal with, his wife has the right idea. An addict needs to reach rock bottom sometimes before they take their recovery seriously.

I hope he's safe at least.

Yeah, it's the "safe" that worries me. I can see that she couldn't deal with him any more, but I just hope he isn't on the streets.

Sometimes rock bottom means dying. *sigh*
