Slept very late had breakfast, and puttered on the computer a bit. Then, because of the ship-of-fools book discussion upcoming, I found Lois McMaster Bujold's Memory and started rereading it. One of my favorite of the series, I love it! So I spent the day on that.

Texted to The Kid about the accident last night so she wouldn't find out about it through facebook.

And talked to [livejournal.com profile] mashfanficchick about plans for tomorrow.

And that was my day.

*sigh* I should note that if I was still married it would have been my 32nd anniversary.

Gratitude List:

1. Good books.

2. Friends.

3. The Kid.

4. Ship-of-fools.

5. I'm not married any more. Even though it wasn't my idea, it was for the best.

6. Days off.

My condolences on the dissolution of your marriage. That's a big life change, but it sounds like you are handling it well, which is something I really admire especially when children are involved.

(*Somewhat embarrassing confession* ) I'm not sure what ship-of-fools is. (?)

My ex-husband's been gone out of my life seven years, and we've been divorced for four, so I'm learning to come to grips with it. He walked out on me after six months of crap, and in retrospect I shouldn't have stayed with him long enough for him to do it.It was not a healthy relationship. I did get one good thing out of it, my daughter, referred to in my journal as The Kid.

Ship-of-fools is ship-of-fools.com, "The Magazine of Christian Unrest", which has a really nice discussion board if you're into that sort of thing, where I hang out. I don't post a lot any more, though I used to, now I mostly just read, but when the book discussion thread picked up one of my favorite books by my favorite living author (Lois MvMaster Bujold ) I had to get involved.
