Disapointed

Work was normal, and nothing to say about it. But after work I made up my mind I was going to go to a nocturnal nature walk in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. So I looked up where it was and how to get there, and I went. But the directions weren't good, and I couldn't find the park from where I was! So after wandering the streets for half an hour, I gave up and came home. *sigh* Once I worked myself up to go I was really looking forward to it.

Anyway, at least I tried.

Gratitude List:

1. Quiet day, though it was busier than expected.

2. Leftover dinner from Thursday.

3. I tried at least.

4. Nice weather.

5. Good books.

6. Spyder is well.

Edited to add: Spyder licked his bowl clean without me having to encourage him. I guess I likes the salmon feast flavor.

Flushing Meadows Park is at the Willet's Point/Mets stop on the 7 train. You have to walk a ways from the station, going opposite from Citi Field, on the boardwalk, past the LIRR platforms.

Oh yeah I know about that. But this was meeting at a playground a while lot further into the park. The directions from google maps involved taking either the Q44 or Q20 bus and getting off at 73rd Ave and getting to the park from there. It looked easy on the map but I must have missed something vital. *sigh*

It's probably easier to go by train, get into the park, then find where in the park you want to be.

I always wonder why cats like fish (or if they really do, since they don't like water. How would they have gotten fish? Why don't we make bird flavored food?
